Even when life is going as planned, we still encounter daily stress. Add the fact that we are going through a pandemic, and stress and anxiety levels only increase. Fortunately, chiropractic care can help. Here’s how this natural, non-addictive form of treatment can provide stress relief.

REGAIN YOUR BALANCE

Gentle, targeted spinal adjustments can provide pain relief, along with an overall improved sense of well-being with more energy and alertness and less stress.

The spine is home to the central nervous system that controls just about everything the body does. When your brain-to-body communication is performing optimally, your overall health benefits.

When your body is in balance, it has an easier time taking on stress.

STRESS RELIEF TIPS

Along with regular chiropractic care, we also suggest the following practices to help with stress relief.

Take A Walk – The time of social distancing means most of us are itching to get outside and get moving. Taking a 30 minute walk every day is a great way to relieve stress. Take this time to clear your head, relax, and regroup.

Breathe Easy – Deep breathing is a great way to let go of tension. When you feel stress building, close the door and find a quite spot. Take five deep breaths in and out, filling your belly with air and emptying it with each breath. Imagine that your worries are floating away with each exhalation. Simple breath exercises are a quick and easy tool to ease stress.

Find Your Inner Yogi – Yoga can help with issues like overuse injuries and is also a great way to focus the mind and body to ease stress. Social distancing means plenty of instructors are going virtual, so don’t worry about not being able to step into a studio to get started.

Stay connected – Reach out to family and friends to talk through what is causing you stress and find ways to help others whenever you can. These interactions give assistance and reassurance and although it’s a great time to take a break from how overwhelming social media can be right now, it’s also a great way to connect with your loved ones.
