We’d like to take this opportunity to let you know what your first appointment at Shields Chiropractic will look like.
Before Your Appointment
Before your new patient visit, please complete the new patient forms electronically on our website. The paperwork includes your insurance information, health history, and why you’re here.
Chiropractic Consultation & Examination
You’ll meet with one of our chiropractors to discuss your current condition and possible treatment options. Our discussion will be followed by a complete chiropractic examination. Depending on your specific symptoms, we may take X-rays. These images will help us create the most effective treatment plan for you and alert us to any serious spinal conditions.
Treatment
At the end of your first visit, your doctor may choose to provide your first chiropractic treatment. This may include spinal adjustment, physical therapy, soft tissue massage, or a combination of therapies. If you have any questions during treatment, please ask. You’re a partner in your wellness journey.
Instructions & Appointments
When your treatment is complete, the doctor will provide you with instructions for what actions you should take at home. The front desk staff will help you set up your next appointment.
