The holidays are just a few short weeks away, and you may already be planning to make the most of your time off with a road trip. Packing the car up to visit friends and family is exciting, but the back pain associated with travel certainly isn’t. For those that suffer from back pain while traveling, chiropractic can help. TRAVEL IN COMFORTABLE CLOTHES

Putting on comfortable clothes for a road trip may seem like a given, but did you know dressing comfortably can help keep your back pain away? Comfortable clothes allow you to move freely, so you can stretch and move as you need. If you are in restrictive attire, you may be experiencing back pain before you’re even on the highway. Wearing comfortable shoes while driving is also important, as you don’t want your feet to get sore or achy while driving.

TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS

Spending too much time in a seated position can lead to tension in the back and cause pain, so it’s important to allow yourself time to take a break. These pit stops should include a short walk along with back and leg stretches. Releasing the tension in your body can keep back pain from ruining your road trip.
